Our next Annual Classic Car Meet

DESPITE THE SUMMER'S AWFUL WEATHER OUR EVENT TOOK PLACE AS USUAL, SUNDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER, AT THE PARKLANDS, HENLADE, NR.TAUNTON, SOMERSET. THE MEETING WAS AGAIN A GREAT SUCCESS WITH WELL OVER 1100 VEHICLES ATTENDING, DESPITE EARLY MORNING RAIN. MANY VISITORS CREDIT THE POPULARITY OF OUR MEETING TO ITS FORMAT: IT IS FREE OF CHARGE, NO BOOKING NECESSARY (ALTHOUGH IT DOES HELP TO KNOW IN ADVANCE IF CAR CLUBS AND LARGE GROUPS WISH TO ATTEND), AND COME AND GO, AS AND WHEN YOU PLEASE. THERE IS A CHOICE OF FOOD AVAILABLE TOGETHER WITH A LICENCED BAR. IT IS PRIMARILY A LUNCH-TIME MEET, FROM 11.00am TO 2.30pm BUT MANY PEOPLE ARRIVE MUCH EARLIER AND SOME STAY LATER. The average number of exhibits regularly exceeds the one thousand mark! It is a meeting, not a show, so your vehicle does not necessarily have to be in pristine condition. Most makes are represented, from the mainstream to the obscure, including commercial vehicles, motorbikes and tractors. One year a vintage combine harvester arrived!
