Sunbeam Talbot 2.0 Litre Tourer £

Sunbeam Talbot 2.0 litre 4-seat Sports Tourer. A very rare model, first registered 1940 and the earliest survivor known. Supplied new to the then owner of Whitbread Brewery. Low ownership from new, recorded in both original RF60 log book as well as current V5. Service history from 1954 seems to substantiate as correct the indicated mileage of 78,000. The very lively 2.0 litre engine provides excellent performance and overall the car is very pleasant to drive. Neither the body nor interior have been restored therefore the car is nowhere near being in show condition. The paint is clean and shiny but generally imperfect and scruffy. The original leather is old but charming. The chrome ranges from some new, to very good, except the front bumper which is poor. In recent times it has had a new hood. In addition a new Double Duck tonneau cover and hood bag have just been fitted. The car has plenty of character and is pleasantly scruffy, as such it would be a great pity to restore. Recently subjected to a brake overhaul and new radiator, the car is taxed has an mot and is ready to enjoy.
